Today in the House, Michael’s fellow NDP MLA Lana Popham introduced the following Private Member’s Motion: “Be it resolved that the House debate and discuss a plan to ensure a sustainable wild salmon stock and aquaculture sector.”

Yesterday the issue of aquaculture came up in the House.
Seizing the opportunity Michael posed some pertinent questions to the Minister of Agriculture and Lands, the Honourable Steve Thomson.

Today Michael rose in the House to speak to the government motion to harmonize the environmental review processes fro the provincial and federal government.
In light of how the issue of fish farms has been handled, Michael voiced, rather passionately his skepticism about this motion.
