Michael Talks Oil and Gas in the Legislature

Today, the government tabled the Bill 8, the Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources Statutes Amendment Act, 2010. This bill amends ant act of government that was previously rushed through without thorough debate.

Michael Brings Local Daycare Concerns to the Legislature

The recent school board decision to serve notice to four local daycares currently operating in schools has cast the spotlight on the state of Child Care in BC.

During Question Period today, Michael asked the Minister of Children and Family Development and Minister Responsible for Child Care, Mary Polak to explain this sad state of affairs.

Michael Talks Water in the Legislature

As many citizens of Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows are aware, the ongoing saga of the North Alouette has cast a light on the failings of how the Province regulates water.

In speaking to the Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act, 2010, Michael chose to focus on the amendments to the Water Act and draw attention to intrigue occurring around the North Alouette.

Michael Praises Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows

The recently completed Winter Paralympics was one of if not the best ever held.

Michael Gets Passionate About Environmental Review

Today Michael rose in the House to speak to the government motion to harmonize the environmental review processes fro the provincial and federal government.

In light of how the issue of fish farms has been handled, Michael voiced, rather passionately his skepticism about this motion.
